Primary purpose of the role

Responsibility for the finance manager for the Asset Lifecycle Management (ALM) business unit is predominantly to support the financial reporting process obligations in accordance to US GAAP and supporting the financial controllers in transformation activities which includes system migration, business process outsourcing (BPO) implementation across the International (“Int”) jurisdiction.

Key Accountabilities

  • Adhere to the Iron Mountain Code of Ethics and Core Values;

  • Adhere to all Iron Mountain Policies and procedures;

  • Complete all tasks as requested by your manager in a timely and efficient manner;

  • 2IC to the International ALM C&A team

  • Ensure the month end close & all relevant reporting (monthly, quarterly & annual) are completed in a timely manner & within global compliance deadlines;

  • Review of journals and balance sheet reconciliations as prepared by the offshore accounting team;

  • Support business operations via FP&A by providing meaningful and accurate information for decision making;

  • Support migration activities to Global Business Services (“GBS”) teams on all work stream, including but not limited to P2P, procurement, R2A and A2C;

  • Working with and indirect supervision of the Global Business Services (“GBS”) teams, in particular but not limited to the R2A, P2P and A2C teams

  • Understand, evaluate and recommend changes to existing work stream processes with the intention of improving efficiency in the future;

  • Support ALM Controller – International in:

  • Coordinate and manage transition activities from a scoping, timeline, requirements and information training perspective;

  • Developing policies and process change notes for the ALM business unit;

  • Advocate change in business processes resulting from the transition of activities to GBS and work with relevant stakeholders to minimise disruptions to business-as-usual activities upon transition;

  • Team player within the ALM C&A team to assist with ad-hoc activities requiring urgent attention;

  • Cross-functional teams collaboration to ensure Oracle Cloud deployment and activities transition readiness for the business.

  • Ensure finance systems optimisation and continuous improvement. Proactively contribute to the development and implementation of the Finance Systems strategy within the framework of the IM global financial systems strategy.

  • Be an active member of the global controllership & accounting team, participate in ad-hoc projects.

  • Responsible for overseeing and supporting the tax team on preparation of Value Added Tax (VAT) documentation for ITR international entities, ensuring compliance with local tax regulations and timely submission of necessary documents for the accurate filing.

  • Assist in the preparation of statutory accounts for international entities by actively participating in the utilisation of OneSource, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with international accounting standards and tax regulations for the timely filing.
