Based remotely in India and working in the Global Controllership team, the Manager, Revenue Accounting is a resource to assist the Senior Manager, Revenue Accounting in addressing emerging/developing issues affecting the company’s revenue recognition and related accounting on a global basis. The Manager, Revenue Accounting will operate with a global remit and responsibility for:

  • Operating as part of the “center of excellence” (COE) pertaining to the accounting for the Company’s revenue cycle, including revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 Revenue from Contracts with Customers and ASC 842 Leasing , as well as accounts receivable and related reserves and certain contract costs, to ensure consistent application of accounting principles generally accepted in the United States (US GAAP) across the global organization

  • Serving as a liaison between the Revenue Accounting COE and internal customers including finance, controllership and accounting, agreement to cash, and our finance shared service outsource provider to support each of our business units on complex revenue transactions, including consulting with them on specific application of technical revenue recognition literature and operationalizing the accounting for such transactions into our general ledger

  • Assisting with developing and documenting global standardized processes to achieve policy alignment across all countries, business units and product lines, and working with regional and local teams on adopting and operationalizing such processes.

  • Developing and monitoring standardized reporting to ensure global alignment with accounting policy in the areas mentioned above, and to uncover and address risk in the related general ledger accounts

REQUIREMENTS

Education and Experience:

 Bachelor’s degree in business, finance/accounting, or other related area is required

 Requires 5+ years of accounting and/or finance experience

 Background in accounting for revenue recognition in accordance with US GAAP preferred

 Career progression should indicate positions of increasing scope and responsibility

 Experience with enterprise-wide applications and accounting systems (such as Oracle and

Hyperion) preferred

deadlines.

 Attention to detail with the ability to analyze the quality and completeness of results quickly and

accurately.

 Strong analytical skills with ability to develop strategies to resolve problems at their source.
