IT Renew/Iron Mountain is looking for a Corporate Accounting Manager to support the growth of the company. This position will play a key role in managing the month end close, inventory, international entities, process improvements and policy development. The role will include managing and leading a team of accountants and assisting with other areas relating to the financial close and reporting process.
You will have the chance to serve as a key contributor to a high growth environment and strengthen your understanding of both operational and technical accounting processes.Key Financial Responsibilities include:
●Direct accounting team in managing the month-end financial close process and work with the Corporate Controller to review journal entries, balance sheet account reconciliations and financial statements
●Lead and support various accounting operations such as inventory reporting, international transactions and consolidations, accounts payable, general ledger and cash management
●Help define, lead and execute inventory accounting processes and reporting functions
●Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidated and subsidiary financial reporting.
●Ensure integrity and accuracy of accounting entries and financial data
●Coach, mentor, and oversee the accounting team on day-to-day tasks and deliverables
●Work closely with department heads to support their needs and growth
●Assist with technical accounting research and document internal policies and procedures.
●Supervise and assist in the preparation of provided-by-client (PBC) schedules and reports for annual audit
●Interact with external and internal auditors to ensure SOX compliance and supporting documentation for all requests are provided in a timely manner
●Provide data and answer inquiries for outside tax preparers to complete annual and quarterly federal and state returns
●Participate in cross-functional projects to drive overall enhancements within the accounting function
●Help with integration and implementation of new systems based on recent acquisition by Iron Mountain
●Willingness to learn and assist in accounting functions outside the core responsibilities
●Flexibility to support occasional meetings in a wide range of time zones (evenings EST).
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
●Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required
●CPA is preferred
●At least 10+ years of accounting/audit experience
●Experience with international multi-site organizations and cross-country transactions
●Extensive experience with inventory accounting
●Working knowledge of GAAP and experience supporting financial audits
●Proven track record of success in the establishment of processes and systems
●Detail oriented self-starter with experience in successfully enhancing and streamlining processes
●Strong interpersonal and communication skills are imperative
●Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
●Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics (NAV) and/or Oracle is a plus
