The Sr.Director/Director, Oracle Cloud ERP System (and ancillary feeder system integrations ---- Real Estate - Tririga; Banking; Sales & Use Tax/Indirect Tax - Vertex; Consolidation/Report Pack - Onestream; Payroll/Benefits - Workday) will provide overall leadership, strategic direction, management, and support for the Oracle Cloud ERP application and the various financial and procurement/sourcing modules (inclusive of, but not limited to ----- Accounts Receivable/Collections; Accounts Payable; Cash Management; General Ledger; Fixed Assets; Intercompany; Procurement/Sourcing and Project Costing). This role will align business strategy by linking and integrating upstream company processes (e.g. A2C; HR - Payroll and Benefits; Procurement; Real Estate; Sales Commission; Tax and Treasury) with the appropriate IT solutions across Iron Mountain globally. This role is critical to the Finance Transformation goals that are linked to a three prong strategy of (1) the global design, implementation/configuration, integration, conversion/testing and and deployment of the Oracle Cloud ERP system globally to all of our 60+ countries (2) the enablement of our third-party Business Process Outsourcer strategy in conjunction with our Global Business Services Group and (3) linkage of upstream systems to our Oracle Cloud deployment in the areas described above to drive standardization, simplification, automation and value-added new features deployment to our end-user and business community.
The Sr. Director/Director Oracle Cloud ERP will be responsible (working with the IMI technology group) for the development, execution and deployment of Iron Mountain’s overall Oracle Cloud ERP strategy. The role serves as the subject matter expert for Finance. The role provides strategic direction, inclusive of setting team goals, timelines, determining appropriate business resourcing from the finance groups. This is a varied, exciting role that requires a strategic thinker and an exceptional leader that thinks and acts globally and is focused on meeting the highest value-added outcomes for all geographies and business units in the short, mid and long-term in a cost effective and efficient manner. From a technical perspective, this role will be expected to be actively involved in developing/supporting, identifying requirements, and setting timelines for the deployment of all in-scope Oracle Cloud ERP modules and subsystems. Ket to this role is (a) Gathering requirements from finance/accounting teams and relaying to the IT development team regarding system requirements and necessary functionality (b) Working Work with the internal and external Oracle Applications development group and Functional teams to design new system requirements ‘(c) Support testing - Create Technical design documents and integration, conversion and migration/cutover documents based on business/functional requirements (d) able to understand the reporting requirements from finance perspective and convey to the implementation team the key reports necessary to run the business and the back-office-support functions in the Global Business Services group and (e) Ability to clearly communicate with team members on issues, status and design ideas throughout the project - Resolving issues in timely fashion
A trusted partner with the Senior Information Technology, Finance and Global Business Services group, as well as, other global functional groups (e.g. Real Estate) by providing strategic direction in finance related areas. Facilitate consensus as to the timing of solution deployment.
Lead Oracle Cloud ERP global deployment to 60+ countries over the next 2+ years (supporting the finance and business requirements), including solution design, process enhancements and implementation/deployments. Partner with Information Technology group as finance function lead on the execution of the broader Iron Mountain financial systems roadmap (inclusive of Oracle Cloud ERP).
Partner with the Information Technology group as a finance function lead on the execution of Iron Mountain’s financial systems roadmap including conversion of global Oracle ERP to the Oracle Cloud ERP. Drive and lead best in class solutions and lead design and process enhancements for IRM requirements. Partner with senior business and functional leaders on their strategic roadmap, understand their operational issues and opportunities (business processes) and create technical solutions to scale business operations and ensure compliance.
Release management, including but not limited to impact analysis of new releases, plan and lead execution of releases, training of users on new features, adoption of new features of Oracle Cloud ERP in line with Oracle releases.
Lead system REIT conversion (working with the Accounting COE, Tax and Treasury) on the legal entity structure for all M&A transactions globally. Ensure resourcing is adequate and direct Finance project teams through the planning and execution of legal entity restructuring steps, provide guidance, management and oversight to successfully integrate financial systems.
Lead the deployment of REIT requirements (working with the Manager, Tax REIT) across global systems. Partner with the Information Technology group to manage configuration and automation of accounting transactions within the global ERP systems. Direct finance project teams through the planning and execution of legal entity restructuring steps, provide guidance, direction and oversight to successfully integrate financial systems.
Consult on new and emerging businesses to achieve proper alignment and compliance with Iron Mountain’s complex reporting structure (e.g. management - business unit, global functional spend, legal entity, statutory, management, REIT, tax, product line)
Be curious, constantly looking to understand “tough questions”, “Use cases” from business stakeholders and translate them into scalable, and intuitive solutions covering ---- Accounts Receivable/Collections; Accounts Payable; Cash Management; General Ledger; Fixed Assets; Intercompany; Procurement/Sourcing and Project Costing)
Provide thought leadership to the Information Technology group of accounting and finance principles needed as it relates to the deployment of critical, complex business applications, programs and feature enhancements.
Identify opportunities to meet customer and business needs by clearly articulating the problem statement and the path forward to address the problem, even in highly ambiguous situations.
Leading implementation and management of global IT systems as an enabling function
Partnering with Global Information Technology and the Controllership and Accounting, Finance Business Partners and Global Business Services groups at corporate and the regional and operating business units to establish standard process and interactions.
Leading special requests, projects, initiatives and presentations for leadership as required.
Maintain, troubleshoot and develop new finance reports and processes.
REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 15+ years in progressive positions in multinational environment with experience in Controllership & Accounting/Finance, Business Process, ERP Systems Design, Deployment and Enhancements. 8+ years of Controllership & Accounting with a minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting (Masters Degree in Accounting Preferred). Public company and SOX experience preferred.
5+ years of experience in either ERP consulting and/or IT Finance Director role within a commercial company (“lead” finance role) supporting Enterprise Performance Management tools.
Oracle Financials Cloud (AR, AP, CM, GL, FA, Projects) Certified Professional (Preferred). Oracle On-Premise experience (Secondary) or other ERP environment experience. Demonstrated experience with conversion from Oracle ERP Cloud from legacy Oracle ERP (on-premise) a plus. Oracle ERP FCCS and ARCS a plus. Lead the hands-on configuration to ensure configurations are in alignment with business requirements.
Large scale financial ERP system implementation experience required. Proven experience in gathering requirements from finance/accounting teams and relaying to the Information Technology team in order to design, build, implement and enable the necessary system functionality. Integration, Conversion, Cutover and SIT (System Integration Testing) and UAT (User Acceptance Testing).
Experience operating in a global, complex matrixed environment and interacting across all levels of the organization (Finance;Technology; Global Functions; Business Units, Global Business Services group, among others).
Mergers and acquisition experience, inclusive of legal entity restructuring and system integration experience and cross-functional execution.
Experience with Chart of Accounts, Legal Entity Structure, Segment, Product, Function and associated configurations and reporting requirements (management, regulatory, statutory/legal, business unit).
Develop change management strategy and lead change management delivery as part of the Oracle ERP Cloud deployment program.
Experience with project management methodology and tools is preferred.
GSuite experience (preferred).
Knowledge in Sourcing/Procurement modules is preferred but not required.
