We're currently seeking a new team member for the role of AP Process Owner/AP Accountant , where you'll oversee the daily Accounts Payable operations and address any tactical issues that arise with our outsourced accounts payable team.
You'll be the main point of contact for both the internal finance team and wider business, as well as the outsourced service provider.
Additionally, you'll assist with the Accounting function as directed by the County Controller to ensure accurate and timely financial and statutory reporting, and ensure that all local and US GAAP requirements are met.
What you will do:
Key point of contact for country business for AP process queries and issues working directly with service provider to resolve.
Monitor critical vendor invoice and payment processes ensuring on time payment
Monitor and drive improvements in agreed KPIs
Perform root cause analysis reporting for issues as needed, provide timely and relevant feedback on issues
Manage and drive process change and improvements
Lead resolution of supplier reconciliation issues as identified
Coordinate ad hoc payments process
Monitor of cash flow forecast information
Monitor of internal control compliance for all processes within scope of responsibilities
Support month end close, including the review of journals and balance sheet reconciliations as prepared by outsourced accounting team
Support the statutory audits together with the accounting shared services. Target is for all to be completed on time
Provide support to investigate and resolve accounting issues for all Country entities
Accountable for ensuring compliance with IM group accounting policies, US GAAP and SOX-Lite. Collaborating with and supporting Country Controller in ensuring ongoing risk-based monitoring, design, and implementation of effective internal controls for the country locations
What you will bring to the role:
Degree in accounting
Good understanding of US GAAP and local GAAPs
Experience in supporting statutory audits
Good understanding of VAT
Proactive self-starter with proven problem solving skill set
Experience of working in a shared service environment
Experience working in AP management
