Job Summary:

The Research Analyst is responsible for managing and resolving complicated disputes Iron Mountain’s most delinquent customers. . They will collaborate with the assigned collector and at times contact the customer directly to determine the barrier(s) preventing payment and negotiate the issue/dispute to expedite payment. They will work closely with the Billing and Cash Application teams, Collections Leadership, and Collections Portfolio Managers to ensure processes and policies contribute to accurate invoicing and payment posting. At times, if required, the incumbent may be required to reach out to our Sales team, point of contact for key accounts to determine and research if there are any internal issues and/or obtain appropriate contact information. They will act as the lead in resolving the issues by interacting with various departments across the organization and ensuring all disputes are tracked and managed into our dispute management system.

Responsibilities

A. Provide ownership and support for Iron Mountain’s top 100 most delinquent customers. Engage with internal and external stakeholders to drive timely resolution or severely delinquent balances.

B. Provide direct support to Top 100 Portfolio Manager, including basic reporting needs, escalations, and data mining.

C. Provide root cause analysis of complex issues and make recommendations to IRM stakeholders toward long term resolution.

D. Responsible for providing additional key account support to any individual assisting on efforts to reduce BDE & DSO (collectors, sales partner, customer care, etc.). This may include accounts that fall outside of the top 100 most delinquent customers. Analyst to work in conjunction with Collections leadership and collectors to drive broad resolution toward overarching goals.

E. Person must be knowledgeable on Iron Mountain AR practices, policies, and be able to negotiate with key internal and external stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner to address sensitive collection efforts.

F. Project and campaign work, including but not limited to Collections strategy, and strategic campaigning. Reporting, including but not limited to root cause analysis in relation to issue resolution, collections related trending, and project work.

G. Identify and support implementation of training opportunities for the collections team. Support testing and implementation of new collections tools including but not limited to new collection strategies and software enhancements.
