Designation - Assistant Manager-Accounts and Finance

Location- Mumbai

Skillset - BAU activities of the accounting closures month on month, handles the FA accounting and liasioning with various stakeholders for India business.

Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, Fixed assets Capitalization and Maintenance of FAR in conformity with the enterprise policy.

Prepares records, analyzes and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles.

Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements and reports. Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects. May provide financial support, including forecasting, budgeting and analyzing variations from budget.

Job Description-

  • Monthly closure of books of accounts of legal entities (including but not limited to) working on provision of expense, depreciation, and prepaid amortization.

  • Experience with general ledger functions, financial reporting, Account reconciliations, month-end/year end close process (finalization of accounts), and preparation of statutory financial statement

  • Manage all month-end activities as per the calendar and coordinate with respective onshore and offshore team members

  • Assist wider Finance department on strategic and tactical projects as required

  • Create and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for the recordation of fixed assets.

  • Record fixed asset acquisitions and dispositions in the accounting system.

  • Track the compilation of project milestones, costs into fixed asset accounts, and close out those accounts once the related projects have been completed.

  • Reconcile the balance in the fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the summary-level account in the general ledger.

  • Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and accumulated depreciation.

  • Ensure periodic physical assets verification as per the policy with stakeholders and ensure assets tie back counts in the Fixed Asset register

  • Conduct analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management.

  • Prepare audit schedules relating to fixed assets and assist the auditors in their inquiries.

  • Represent the company during any audits by tax/statutory auditors that involve fixed assets.
