About This Role

Iron Mountain is seeking an exceptional business insight and market research specialist to help build out an analytics and market insight practice within our Strategy Group. You will deliver insights and recommendations to help drive corporate strategy, portfolio strategy, strategic growth initiatives, and market analysis. The successful candidate will have in-depth experience in leveraging a broad set of BI tools to pull and analyze business issues in a creative and thoughtful manner. Some experience with primary market research would be a plus as well. The successful candidate must be an outstanding communicator and story-teller, with a gift for delivering the WIM (what it means) from any analysis. You will thrive in a diverse environment.

What You’ll Do

Reporting to the Director of Strategic Market Analytics and Insights, you will help define and execute analyses of key data within Iron Mountain as well as publicly available external data from diverse sources to help inform and drive high-impact strategic initiatives. These could include assessing likely future market trends, likely trends for various new offerings over time, and a whole host of other strategic initiatives. Effective secondary research skills would also be critical. The overarching focus will be on growing our business, and succeeding in a highly competitive and dynamic market.

Successful Candidates Will Have the Following Skills and Background:

Innovative self-starter

Intellectually curious and passionate for delivering compelling insights that make a difference.

High comfort in pulling operational and financial internal data, and analyzing same.

Passion for getting the key drivers of business questions.

Experience with Oracle business objects would be a plus, but experience with any similar tool would be fine.

Conversant with R, SPSS (or similar stat/analysis tool) and Alteryx (or similar) would be a plus.

Help guide decision makers in the right approaches to research a wide variety of

strategic objectives.

Strong quantitative skills.

Interest in supporting primary market research with BI analyses. Market research experience would be a plus.

Excellent written and verbal communications skills, with a gift for simplifying complex analysis to deliver the WIM at an executive level.

Strong secondary research skills.

B2B business acumen

Passion for building analytic research capabilities in a new group.

Background in strategy and/or technology industries a plus.

MBA a plus, or other expertise in financial and operational insights.

Previous consulting experience would be a plus.

Minimum 3+ years of work experience.

International experience a plus
